Tall Gathering Table by World Imports
I have a theory about the rising popularity of tall tables aka pub sets or gathering tables.
When people first started using chairs and tables the people were on average much shorter. Now the average height is much taller. Since the average height has only increased by 3″ for men and 3.5″ for women over the last 200 years, I’m guessing some of this table trend can be related to temporary popularity.
